We did it! On December 3, 2008, the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Board approved $1.98M to acquire these 120 acres of woods and wetlands, extending Lake Lansing North Park by 30%. Together with $675K in support from Meridian Township Land Preservation, $150K raised by our community, and $25K from Ingham County, the appraised cost of buying the land is now covered. There are a few steps to go, but we’re optimistic all will converge in the Happy New Year, 2009! Thank YOU for your support, and enjoy the trails!

Thanks to all of the dedicated people who contribute to preserving our parks and making our community healthy!

If you would like to support Lake Lansing North Park, additional funds raised will be used towards stewardship of the land.

This unique and beautiful area provides valuable wetlands & wildlife habitat and has many great people supporting its preservation.

I can think of no more important piece of land to add to the Parks, because of its beautiful old oak woods and the trails contributing to Lake Lansing North Park.”
