| We did it! On December 3, 2008, the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Board approved $1.98M to acquire these 120 acres of woods and wetlands, extending Lake Lansing North Park by 30%. Together with $675K in support from Meridian Township Land Preservation, $150K raised by our community, and $25K from Ingham County, the appraised cost of buying the land is now covered. There are a few steps to go, but we’re optimistic all will converge in the Happy New Year, 2009! Thank YOU for your support, and enjoy the trails! | |
